1. About TechFlipper UK

TechFlipper UK Ltd (“TechFlipper”, “we”, “us”) operates the marketplace at techflipper.uk, connecting private sellers and buyers of used electronic hardware in the United Kingdom. We are registered in England & Wales.

By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use TechFlipper as a seller. Buyers may be based anywhere Stripe supports card payments.

3. Listings & Sellers

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. You must not list: stolen goods, counterfeit items, items with fraudulent serial numbers, or anything illegal under UK law. TechFlipper may remove any listing at its discretion.

Sellers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding (identity verification) before receiving payouts. TechFlipper charges a platform fee of 2.5% of the sale price deducted at payout. There are no listing fees.

4. Payments & Escrow

All payments are processed by Stripe and held in escrow on the TechFlipper platform account. Funds are not accessible to the seller until the buyer confirms receipt or the 48-hour inspection window expires without a dispute.

TechFlipper is not a bank or payment institution. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy govern payment processing.

5. Inspection & Disputes

Buyers have 48 hours from the seller marking an order as delivered to raise a dispute or confirm receipt. After this window, funds are automatically released to the seller.

Disputes are reviewed by TechFlipper support. We may request evidence from both parties. Our decision is final. Fraudulent dispute claims may result in account suspension.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not: attempt to circumvent escrow by requesting off-platform payment; harass other users; create multiple accounts to abuse the dispute system; misrepresent items; or use the platform for money laundering.

7. Limitation of Liability

TechFlipper facilitates transactions between independent parties. We are not party to contracts between buyers and sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the platform fee collected on the relevant transaction.

8. Consumer Rights

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK legislation are not affected by these Terms. Private sales are not covered by the same protections as business sales; please check the listing carefully before purchasing.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance. We will email registered users of material changes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
